I honestly was not as thrilled by it as many others seem to be. Too early and the attack will fizzle, while if the attack begins to late, the attacker may have missed his window of opportunity. I was referring to vukovic CRB rated it really liked it Jun 16, Almost the entire pages of it! So, it’s intense but readable, but what’s in it? Looks like a great book to improve attacking play, but also calculation!

I would say, with that in mind, that a minimum level of skill to be get much of anything out of the book would have to be aroundbut it will be really really difficult.

At first this may seem a bit improbable. This was a game changer for me. I disagree with this.

Indispensable for learning the basic attacking strategies and tactics against castled and uncastled kings. I took my time to study the books variations and applyed it to my real life chess games and was able to out play 2 of my algebra teachers other then that it was a really good book for someone who is looking for aggressive play in chess I look forward to reading more of Vladimir Vukovics chess books to improve for the scholastic chess tournament over the spring break.

It was a good book it showed me different variations of attacking in the game of chess, its very mindful that you study the tactics in the book so you can use them in real life.
Apr 6, 8. The signal to noise ratio in Art Of Attack is very high, and therefore the information is very densely packed. I think that books are just a waste of time while it comes to chess. This book will definitely warrant fine comb treatment in the near future.
You have to sniff it, using the generic attacking principles complex or not and your intuition. I purchased the book about 2 weeks ago and from what i have read so far, i think the book is ok if you are willing to put in the effort that you are going to need to get through it. If you are still working on basic tactics and haven’t yet learned a reasonable amount of positional play, this book isn’t for you. One of my favorite chess books. Shawn Micheal rated it liked it Dec 13, Some people like books, other softwares, videos etc. No trivia or quizzes yet. However, I did find the “BxPch” chapter quite enlightening. A large part of Art Of Attack is devoted to what Vukovic considers to be the preconditions necessary for an attack against the castled king to proceed.
You should still read the book.
