Having both read and worked on this particular show, I have found I quite like this work. I did enjoy it tho and will love to see this American classic on stage on day. Bus Stop is a play that takes place in the heart of the Midwest–at a roadside diner in a small town 30 miles west of Kansas City. All three acts of the play occur within this setting. It’s entertaining and enjoyable. A nightclub chanteuse can discover domesticity and a drunken lecher can mend his ways. Grace Hoyland is the owner of the restaurant, long a “grass widow” and an expert at hiding her loneliness.
